This year’s Meet Magento, organized by Magento Enterprise partner Netresearch at the GaraGe Technology Center, opened on May 31st with a video announcement of a new element to the periodic table; Magento!
Ok, maybe not, but the joke was taken surprisingly well when CEO Roy Rubin let the crowd down easy.
So, maybe it’s not an element on the period table, but it has definitely proven itself as a core element for ecommerce and as much more “than just a turn-key product,” according to Roy Rubin. The goal is to keep Magento on the road to “empowering the ecommerce ecosystem to build applications and build businesses on our platform.” But to do this, customers’ needs had to be met.
The 2-day event went through June 1st, and gave attendees plenty of time to converse and discuss all that Magento has done for them. And if you didn’t make it to the Meet Magento afterparty, Freestyler Saxon Rapkunst graced the stage with an ecommerce-inspired rap. It’s entertaining even if you don’t speak German! Check it out, here!
Here are some photos from the event, take a look…
Roy Rubin opens the conference
We had a great turn-out and enjoyed hearing about how Magento has worked for so many.
The hors d’oeuvres were great too…
The hall where we gathered was a great place to unwind and prepare for some great Magento news.
Attendees had a chance to have drinks and chat with other Magento users after the talk as well.
And at the afterparty we listened to a Freestlye rap about eCommerce. Check it out here!
